Police learned of the alleged attack on Saturday, July 13, when the father of the juvenile victim called Fairfield Police to report that while receiving a ride from Stone Lane in Fairfield, the driver, Dwaine Miller, 31, of Bridgeport, "made unwanted sexual contact," with the girl, said Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras.
In addition to making sexual contact, Miller also allegedly made overt sexual advances, Kalamaras said.
Miller was charged with sexual assault and released after posting $5,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
Kalamaras said Miller is a convicted felon with numerous arrests including robbery, assault, and burglary.
